Portfolio Experience 2014 quick summary

Thank you to everyone who made the 2014 Portfolio Experience a huge success! This year’s conference was the premiere event gathering pracitioners and experts dedicated to Project Portfolio Management and PMO. 8 speakers from all over the world came, spoke and shared experiences with an audience from more than 20 companies.

The Portfolio Experience Conference was opened by Maciej Bodych, CEO of the organizer – WHITECOM Project Experience, but we quickly moved on to the first speaker. Alfonso Bucero gave us an amazing motivational speech and engaged the participants in his famous "Bad Language" game.

Right after this session, we had a chance to listen to Gabrielle O'Donovan, who presented an overview of how to integrate change management and project management activities, based on recent research on the effectiveness of integration.

Johnny Mo speaking

After a short coffee break, Johnny Mo gave us a memorable inspirational speech. Johnny reminded us that what inspires us is sometimes found in the rarest of forms and motivated us to continue pressing forward through hard times. The next speaker, Olgierd Annusewicz, showed the audience various types of benefits and roles of communication.

Wiesław Kosieradzki introduced the newest P2ware Portfolio Server - a software designed to manage portfolios of projects. Then, Mariusz Chudy presented a real-life case study on PMO transfromation in Orange Polska S.A. Mariusz answered multiple questions from the audience and the session ended with roundtables discussions - one of the highlights of the event!

Finally, it was time for the PMO Award winners presentation! Provident Polska S.A. turned out to have the most mature PMO and the Project Management Office in TUiR Warta S.A. was named the fastest growing!
