Microsoft Project Portfolio Management: PMO perspective.
Nowadays the amount of information and data provided by projects is so large that if we want to ensure the efficient PMO operation we need the support of IT solutions.

Damian Joniec also presented case studies of solutions and examples derived from implementations that meet the specific requirements of PMO which corresponds exactly with practices used by them. For example PMOs can add checkpoints or gates within the workflow— by designating individual approvers or approval groups at key gates in the workflow. This helps to ensure the notification of stakeholders with proper approval authority when an initiative reaches a decision point.
